New York, NY Morgan & Morgan 1947 Revised Edition Paper Covers Very Good No Jacket
12 pp., + blank record forms; blue printed wrapper with plastic rings at spine. Designed and copyrighted by Ansel Adams; 1 image. Spine worn, covers faded; still a v. good example of this unusual artifact. "This Exposure Guide. or Exposure Record pad, as Ansel called it, was the first published exposition of the Zone System, though the term was not vet used. The booklet contained five pages of explanation, and 10 charts of Zones 0 to IX for planned exposure, the calculation of proper placement and the expansion or contraction of development. Beaumont placed twenty-five copies with Rabson’s in New York. But the Museum of Modern Art bookshop declined to handle it.
