[1670.] Book of hours. French. 212, 8 [1] p. ; approx. 4.5 inches; (12mo) Later full leather binding, gilt rolls and blindstamping on panels and spine; marbled endpapers. Binding is rubbed, worn; hinges splitting; text VG, light toning, a few stains and some soiling. Final leaf has early manuscript notes on blank recto. Duval's name on title page and at end of final section. All edges gilt. Date provided by OCLC, along with the following description: engraved throughout, with fine calligraphic sectional title-pages, decorated initials, head- and tail-pieces, ornaments and title-frames. In "Sentences choisies" (8 p. at end), followed by 1 page "Table." Van Gendt : "a delightful little book. This is really a masterpiece of engraving."
